FAQ’s

How many sessions per week should my child attend?
We recommend at least two sessions per week for steady progress in technique, fitness, and confidence — though the ideal frequency depends on each swimmer’s goals. Read our blog post here

Who are the coaches?
Our coaches are experienced, passionate, and deeply invested in each swimmer’s growth. Many are former Academy swimmers themselves they bring real enthusiasm to every session.

What if my child is nervous or lacking confidence?
That’s completely normal! Our team is trained to create a welcoming, supportive environment. If your child ever needs extra encouragement, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Do I need to stay and watch?
Under 10: parents must maintain visual contact at all times. Ages 10 and older: parents are welcome to stay, but it’s not required. Many families choose to drop off and pick up, while others enjoy watching — or jumping in for a swim themselves!

What’s the difference between the Academy and a swim school?
Our focus is on long-term growth and a genuine love for the water — not just ticking boxes. Swimmers build real skills, lasting friendships, and strong confidence.

Are there opportunities to race or compete?
Yes! We hold regular in-house Gala competitions — click here for details. For swimmers keen to race, we offer clear pathways and support.

Are competitions compulsory?
Not at all. Racing is available for those who want it — but our core focus is always technique, fitness, and fun. There’s zero pressure to compete.

What happens if we miss a session?
Unlimited members can attend any session as a make-up — no booking needed. On a limited membership? Simply join a session the following week.

How do we enrol or change pathway?
Just email us with your preferences. Please note that changes must be submitted by the 20th of the month prior to allow for a smooth transition.

Can I invite a friend to try a session?
Absolutely! Have them register for a Masterclass session here — we’d love to welcome them.
