Since 2004 the Academy has been based at the Harold Holt Swim Centre, located at 1409-1413 High Street, Glen Iris, Melbourne. The Harold Holt Swim Centre not only serves as a place for physical activity but also stands as a significant landmark in Melbourne’s history. Opened in 1969, it was named in honor of Prime Minister Harold Holt, who disappeared while swimming in 1967. Visitors can engage in various activities, from swimming and fitness classes to enjoying the café and childcare facilities. The center’s commitment to accessibility ensures that all community members can participate in its offerings.
Facilities:
- Aquatic: 50-metre outdoor pool, a 25-metre indoor pool, LTS pool, Leisure pool, Hydrotherapy pool and Diving boards!
- Fitness: The centre houses a fully equipped gymnasium, group fitness studios, and offers personal training services.
- Café: Provides a selection of hot and cold food and beverages for visitors.
