Victorian State Sprint Championships

The Victorian State Sprint Championships are nearly upon us and we’re happy to say you’re part of the biggest M1 State Team ever assembled! Here’s some last minute information just to make sure you’re ready for the weekend.

Uniform
All swimmers need to make sure they are wearing their M1 polo top as well as M1 tracksuit (if owned) while at MSAC. Also make sure you have your M1 State Team cap. If this is your first state championships with M1, you will receive your State Team cap prior to warm up on Saturday.

Timeline
Swimmers should speak to their coach about what time they need to be in at MSAC for warm-up. However parents and friends that are coming along can use the Swimming Victoria timeline  and State Sprints Program as a guide so to know what time each race will be.  (Please note: this is a guide only and that the afternoon session on Saturday will commence 45 minutes after the conclusion of the morning session.)

Timekeepers
Swimming Victoria has rostered M1 on to timekeep one lane in the afternoon session of Saturday’s racing. To help us with this commitment, we ask that 3 parents from Tateswim and 3 parents from Academy of Swimming volunteer their time so that we can fulfill this commitment.

Sunday Finals
We’re looking forward to some great swims on Saturday during the heats and with a bit of luck, hopefully we’ll have a number of swimmers representing the club in the finals on Sunday morning. We would like to see as many swimmers as possible back in on the Sunday morning to support their teammates as they mix it with the best in the Victoria! Finals begin at 9am on Sunday morning.

If you have any other questions about State Sprints don’t hesitate to ask your coach.

Good luck!
